  • I obtained my BS and MS degrees in 1997 and 2000, respectively, in Mathematics at the Middle East Technical University in Turkey. Then I went to the graduate school at Texas A&M University (College Station) and graduated in 2006 with a PhD in Mathematics. After spending three years at University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) as a postdoc I joined the University of Toledo as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Department of Mathematics and Statistics in 2009. I got promoted to Associate Professor in 2014 and to Professor in 2020. Throughout my career, I have taught both undergraduate and graduate courses, ranging from Calculus to PhD level courses. My current research interests are in Several Complex Variables and Operator Theory. Since 2006, I have published numerous peer-reviewed research papers in various well respected mathematics journals. I have presented in many national and international mathematics conferences. I also organized conferences and served as a referee for various journals.
