Jason Rose is an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Toledo where he co-directs the Integrating Social Psychology and Health in Research laboratory. His research interests are at the intersection of social cognition, judgment and decision making, and health psychology. More specifically, his research has explored comparison processes and outcomes, norm perception biases and their influence, future-directed thought (e.g., optimism, risk perception), and individual/cultural differences. This work has been published in journals such as Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Journal of Behavioral Decision Making, and Psychology & Health. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa and a B.A. from Purdue University. He teaches courses in social psychology, social cognition, health psychology, and statististics and research methods.
