  • Dr. Jacqueline Layng is a Professor of Communication. She has a Master of Arts degree in Media Communication and a Doctorate in Educational Technology from Northern Illinois University. She is a national and international scholar in the fields of media and business communication. Dr. Layng has published over 17 articles, two book supplements, a book chapter, as well as presented over 31 competitively selected papers at international and national conferences over the past 27 years. She has also written a book for the top ranked publisher - Prentice Hall, Inc. on the design of communication technologies. In addition to her research she has been awarded eight grants totally $369,000 and produced over 377 media programs. Dr. Layng created and is the founder of UT: 10 News - the University of Toledo’s national award-winning weekly television newscast. She also created the Media Communication program, which prepares UT students to work in multiple fields including: broadcasting, journalism, public relations, social media and beyond.
