This article was written to inform readers of the concerns regarding medical tourism and the cultural encounters nurses may experience while providing patient care. It also informed readers of optimal interventions and resources for consideration to use while caring for those at risk for cultural appropriation and misunderstandings. The Ohio Nurse is the main foundation publication for ONA members.
