This presentation was given at the first academic larp conference in Russia.
Description: My larps explore community and interconnecfion, especially in arts and education, and draw on techniques outlined in Play with Intent (Boss & Holter 2012) and the Pocket Guide to American Freeform (Stark 2014). They view players as stakeholders who have a say in the diegetic world that emerges through play, one that (in terms of narrative theory) is the result of co-creation (Herman, 2012) rather than mimetic representation (Phelan, Rabinowitz, 2012) of authorial intent.
