  • This article explores how the art of invocation possesses characteristics that parallel and compliment aspects of theatre. Invocation often requires a text or specific lines, a temple setting, magical instruments/props (such as daggers, bells, wands, etc.), and highly specialized performance techniques. The characteristics of this esoteric art have lead some theatre theorists to the conclusion that invocation provides an ideal model for the creative process
