Through engagement with a fantasy-self as “other”, a person can envision a different standpoint (e.g. gender, ethnicity, sexuality) as a human possibility.
These assumed identities can provoke introspection and personal development that support community building, participatory action research (PAR), and enhance our potential to achieve systemic change.
