Dawn M Woolford

  • Dr. Dawn Woolford is a full-time educator at The University of Toledo College of Nursing with over 30 years of experience as a registered nurse. Her clinical background includes roles as a float nurse, oncology nurse, and medical-surgical nurse in the hospital setting. Her experience also extends into the community, where she has worked in home health care, diabetes education, mental health, and as a clinical instructor for nursing students.

    She earned a PhD in Educational Psychology to deepen her understanding of how individuals grow and learn, with the goal of creating supportive learning environments. Her doctoral research focused on reducing stress among nursing students.

    Throughout her career, she has been actively involved in various college, university, and community committees. One project she is particularly proud of is the creation of a hammock park on the health science campus, designed to enhance outdoor resources for students.

    She is dedicated to helping students succeed by facilitating and supporting their learning journeys.
