I have an education that is both diverse in its locale and rigorous in its strength. I earned a MPH in Epidemiolgy, with a concentration in Reproductive and Women's Health from the University of Michigan. I was able to earn positions on two training grants while at the University of North Carolina, where I earned my PhD in epidemiology. Thus, I have earned two degrees from two CEPH-accredited, and world-renowned Schools of Public Health.
I love to teach. Epidemiology and current public health issues are my biggest interests. It is rewarding to work with students and help them achieve their goals while at Toledo and beyond.
While my research interests focused on breast cancer epidemiology throughout my graduate school education, I have also performed research and programming related to nutrition and activity for children. My primary research interests at this point are in emergency and disaster preparedness and real-life issues affecting the asexual population.
