My name is Ammar Kayyali, i graduated from Al-Quds University in Palestine. There, i was involved with the International Federation of Medical Students Associations. I finished internal medicine residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center and geriatric medicine fellowship at Beaumont Hospital. I have been practicing since 2014, i do inpatient internal medicine teaching rounds, medical directorship of three long term care facilities, round in an inpatient hospice unit and have an outpatient geriatric clinic.
My main interests are education/residents as teachers for which i recieved a certificate of advanced training in medical education, polypharmacy, long term care, falls, delirium, mentorship of medical students and careers in medicine, communication skills (Vital Talk). I have been a member of American Geriatric Society, participating in their yearly national conference. I have recently served as subject matter expert on AHRQ ECHO National Nursing Home COVID-19 action network webinar series. My hobbies include learning new languages, reading history, religion and philosophy, playing soccer and basketball.
