  • <p><b><span style="font-size:11pt;">Abstract:</span></b><span style="font-size:11pt;"> <span style="font-size:11pt;">This study examines the University of Toledo’s selection of print monographs before and after the peak of several social movements, and the response to the COVID-19 protocols that occurred in 2020 and 2021. The Black Lives Matter Protests, the parental rights movement, the anti-vaccination backlash during the height of COVID-19 in the United States, along with the subsequent changes in public opinion during that moment in time, served to increase interest in selecting print monographs for teaching and research.</span></span></p>
