<p>This book was chosen for publication by Snap Collective after we entered a juried competition for book ideas through the company. The jury did not choose our book, but the company reached out to us separately because they felt our work was so strong that it deserved publication anyway.</p>
<p>The images in the book represent the collaborative work I have been doing with Aaron Ellison for the last 4 years, and we arrived at the order of images together as well. I did all the design work on the book from the cover to the interior pages. Aaron aided with suggestions, but the concept and execution are mine. The company requires that we work with a designer on their end, but their designer only contributed the correct company logo for the publisher. </p>
<p>The book was sold through a pre-order program, and we sold 50 book in the preorder, and this was double the amount we needed to confirm publishing. We have subsequently sold more copies, and the book is also included in the Toledo Museum of Art's Reference Library. </p>
