Rising expectations for mental health support: Conversations about faculty mental health and workload creep

<p>The purpose of this presentation is to have a conversation about sustaining faculty mental health and wellbeing in the current climate of increasing expectations, especially those concerning student mental health support. There has been additional focus on student wellbeing, especially mental health. University teaching staff have always played a critical role in students’ academic and social integration, and by extension, their academic success. However, university teachers (faculty) are also dealing with various sources of stress and mental health concerns. The discussion will focus on how faculty can support student mental health while sustaining their own.</p>

Overview
