description

  • Medical procedures are an important pillar of practice. Teaching students these procedures is essential to their competency as future physicians. Students face a drastic transition after graduating, moving from theoretical work to working in the field, with significant consequences for those lacking the confidence, experience, and proper training. Most have minimal experience performing procedures with patients in critical conditions and emergencies, which leaves them ill-equipped to face the stress of a hospital work environment. There is a serious need to address this deficiency. Our goal is to equip students with the best skills and training ensuring their success as physicians. Utilizing technology in a controlled environment allows students to develop and attempt new effective techniques without any hesitation, since negative consequences are eliminated. Simulations help students adjust to stress, and allows them to learn from their mistakes.. This instills confidence through increased competence, which in turn increases patient confidence.
