Cohetes is a biannual, open-access journal of creative writing in Spanish developed at the Department of World Languages and Cultures, in association with University of Toledo Press. Its main goal is to make public a selection of works written by undergraduate and graduate students, mainly in the short story and literary essay genres, as a result of their learning and practice in the target language and their outstanding achievements as scholars in upper level courses. Both the template of the journal and the contributions are displayed in bilingual format, as a way of reaching a broader audience of readers within and outside UT’s community, and also for their potential pedagogical and intercultural uses.
