Steven Jackson is an Emmy Award-winning and nominated journalist with more than 14 years of experience in broadcast media. He currently serves as a reporter and host at WTOL 11 in Toledo, Ohio, where he has held roles as a general assignment reporter, live breaking news morning reporter, morning traffic anchor, fill-in news anchor, and co-host of the station’s lifestyle show Good Day.

In addition to his work in television, Jackson is a dedicated educator at the University of Toledo, where he teaches courses in media production, on-air performance, and digital storytelling. He is passionate about helping students build confidence, creativity, and technical skills through hands-on learning experiences that mirror real newsroom environments.

Jackson earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Radio and Television Broadcast and Public Relations from Tougaloo College. Combining his professional expertise with a commitment to mentorship, he strives to prepare the next generation of storytellers to lead with excellence, authenticity, and purpose.
