Dawn M. Goldstein, PhD, MSN, PMHNP-BC, FAAN, is an Associate Professor and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Track Coordinator at the University of Toledo whose career integrates academic leadership, psychiatric practice, research, and service. An experienced PMHNP educator and former PMHNP Program Director at Michigan State University, she leads graduate nursing education, curriculum development, clinical training, and mentorship while maintaining an active psychiatric practice. Her research advances integrated mental and behavioral health care, nurse practitioner workforce and regulatory policy, Medicaid access, health equity, and innovative models of care, with leadership and collaborative roles on federally, state, and foundation-funded initiatives. Dr. Goldstein contributes to university governance and national professional organizations and is a retired Major in the U.S. Army Reserve Nurse Corps, where she served in clinical, executive, and command leadership roles. She was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Nursing in 2024 in recognition of her contributions to nursing leadership, practice, education, and scholarship.
