  • Dr. Benjamin Hart is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Toledo College of Medicine.  His professional work reflects a strong commitment to clinical excellence, medical education, and academic achievement.  His clinical interests predominantly focus on Disorders of Gut Brain Interaction (DGBI), and gastrointestinal motility disorders.  Much of his work focuses on improving patients’ quality of life despite complex conditions that require thoughtful, individualized care.  What distinguishes Dr. Hart is his dedication to “going the extra mile” for his patients and community.  This has led him to build expertise in areas that require understanding of emerging evidence, pursuing new and developing treatment options for patients, and developing meaningful partnerships with the goal of improved patient care.  Alongside his clinical and academic responsibilities, he is committed to training the next generation of physicians sharing his knowledge with medical students, residents, fellows, and colleagues.  Dr. Hart’s dedication to professional growth is evident through his scholarly activity, clinical development, and academic engagement.  His work reflects a physician dedicated to his patients, community needs, colleagues, and to advancing his own expertise and making meaningful contributions to the field of gastroenterology.
